This is Thriller Night

Wednesday, October 31st, 2007

In 2005, Jim and Jen wanted to creatively tell their story of how they met for their video presentation. Of course, each of them remembered their first meeting differently. So from Jen’s point of view, we recreated how they met at a party and how Jim asked to take her home. But Jim’s retelling of the story was totally different. In fact, it seemed a little reminiscent of a certain Michael Jackson video. Here’s the video along with the premiere at their wedding reception. Happy Halloween!

Tina & Doug: Faithfully

Sunday, October 21st, 2007

Last Friday, Tina and Doug were married at The Turnip Rose in Costa Mesa. The unique location for the evening ceremony was the setting for our latest “teaser-sized” Same Day Edit. Tina and Doug are fans of classic rock, so their montage featured The Beach Boys, AC/DC, and the emotionally charged ballad “Faithfully” by Journey.

It was the perfect song to move the audience to tears and cheers as they watched highlights from the ceremony, grand entrance and first dance.Tina and Doug - we’re glad we were part of making your wedding a night to remember.

We were also glad to see Nick & Christy, and the Lewis and VanDerWal families again! We filmed Nick & Christy’s wedding 5 years ago at The Sheraton Anaheim (the site of our own wedding!). The end credits of their video is still one of our favorites.

Kristine & Ray: Ribbon In The Sky

Sunday, October 14th, 2007

Our latest on-site edited video was done for Kristine and Ray, who had their wedding at Ponte Winery, a beautiful vineyard in Temecula, California. Kristine is a great planner and we made sure to capture all the details of the wedding day. Everything from the decorated lanterns lined up along the ceremony aisle to the home-made cookies Kristine baked for all her guests. We also chose to oversaturate the colors of the video to really emphasize the charm and splendor of this setting.

“Ribbon In The Sky” by Stevie Wonder, one Kristine and Ray’s favorite singers, is the song we used and there were alot of great shots to choose from for their Same Day Edit. We highlight their wedding vows and Kristine gives the most enthusiastic “I do” I’ve ever heard. One of my favorite clips shows Ray giving his mom a kiss and she responds by touching his face. A very tender and emotional moment.

Even with only one hour to edit, we were able to sneak in a couple shots of the grand entrance and first dance just minutes before showtime! Check out the entire video below. Thanks Kristine and Ray for having us capture your special day. You guys are an awesome couple and we hope you enjoyed the video presentation as much as we enjoyed making it.

Nap on your iPhone

Thursday, October 4th, 2007

For those of you who have an iPhone, you probably have noticed that not every video on YouTube is available (videos have to be converted by YouTube to be able to be seen on iPhones). The other day I searched “red5stud” (my YouTube username) to see if anything came up. To my surprise, I found NAPOLEON TNT, the Napoleon Dynamite spoof we produced for Cynthia and Gary’s wedding in July. Happy YouTubing!
