Good morning everyone! What a great day we had yesterday. Not only was the weather gorgeous in Southern California but we got to witness the beautiful wedding of Anita & Edward. Their ceremony and reception was held at the Trump National Golf Club in Palos Verdes. The last time I shot there was when it was still called Ocean Trails. The name has changed but the views are still absolutely breathtaking.

Everywhere you looked yesterday, there’s was something great to capture. The line up of Lamborghinis and Ferraris in the parking lot… the colors of the tradtional Korean dresses… the umbrellas given to all the guests to shade them from the warm sun. It was definitely a fun shoot.

Whenever God’s word is spoken at a ceremony, I find the wedding extra special. He’s the invisible guest that day and His presence is felt throughout. Such was the case at Anita & Edward’s wedding. We were definitely blessed to be part of the wedding day and so thankful to be able to give them a sweeping and epic Same Day Edit video. Thank you Anita & Edward for having us. One of the best things about doing the Movie Trailer spoofs is the world premiere at your wedding reception! On the final DVDs, we feature a special version of the trailer that has the audience reaction so you can hear the applause and laughter over again. Check out the premiere of the “Napoleon Dynamite” trailer, that appears as a bonus feature on Cynthia & Gary’s wedding DVD.

Lisa and Tommy sent me an e-mail last Sunday checking to see if I happened to be available to do a Same Day Edit video for their wedding… at the end of the week! As luck would have it, it turned out we were actually free to do the wedding! I got to meet them at their rehearsal and they were absolutely the nicest couple. Saturday was a beautiful day for a Southern Cali wedding and I was glad we were there to capture it for their SDE. They had a traditional Vietnamese ceremony early in the day and then a formal wedding and reception at the new Anaheim Sheraton in the evening.Check out the video below or watch the video in HD on vimeo!

One of the best movies ever produced. EVER. The film is up there with “The Empire Strikes Back” and “The Godfather Part II” as best sequels ever made. Even if you’ve heard all the hype, nothing can prepare you for the wonderful experience of this edge-of-your-seat crime drama (yes, you totally forget it’s a movie based on a comic book). Flawless. Perfect in every way. The cast is amazing and Heath Ledger deserves an Oscar for his performance as The Joker. Go see it in IMAX. Absolutely breathtaking.

For our third visit to the Bay Area this summer, we had the honor of capturing the wedding of Stephanie & Ulysses. I met them back in April and instantly knew they were a fun couple. They described how their reception would start off with them entering the room to the song “Flashing Lights” by Kanye West and how their entourage would be taking photos like paparazzi. I already knew I was going to have a great time at this wedding.

Ulysses is a fan of all things Batman so they chose black and yellow for their colors (a tribute to the original Batman logo). Everything was black and yellow, from the bride’s garter to the groom’s cap… even the M&M’s candy giveaways! In true hip-hop fashion, the couple also had matching Nike Air Force Ones! How cool is that?!! To top it off, their first dance was one of the funnest first dances I’ve seen… it had everything from Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” to the head-banger from “A Night At The Roxbury” (think of “Evolution Of Dance” from YouTube). I had my cousin A.J. (from Xylophone Films) join me on this trip and we had the best time. A big thanks to Stephanie & Ulysses and their families for making us feel right at home. What’s a Bay Area blog entry without me talking about food? Thanks, Arleen and David for treating me to Crustacean for Roasted Crab and Garlic Noodles! Thanks, Stephanie, for the Senorita bread. And thanks, AJ, for taking me to the Colma Cafe at Lucky Chances Casino… the Tosilog (pork tosino, fried rice, and eggs) was the best. I’m stuffed to the rafters.
