Valerie & Eric’s Wedding | Same Day Edit | MOLAA Long Beach
Monday, September 29th, 2008I first met Eric when we were working on the Black Eyed Peas music video for their last single “Bebot”. We both did wedding videos and we later got the chance to work together again on a video presentation for Vicky & Greg (Valerie’s sister and brother-in-law). When Lori and Eric asked me to shoot their wedding, I was deeply honored because Eric is a talented editor/producer himself (he just won an Emmy with his team over at NBC)!
There’s usually a moment at every wedding that we shoot, when I’m reminded why I love weddings. At Lori & Eric’s wedding, it came during the ceremony as Eric got down on one knee, took a pitcher of water and poured it over his bride’s feet. It’s a reenactment of when Christ humbled himself to wash the feet of his disciples and it’s a picture of the love for His bride, the church. It’s something I’ve never seen before at a wedding and I thought it was really awesome to witness and capture on video. It’s seen for a brief instant in their Same Day Edit, but I wanted to explain its meaning to those of you who are watching. This was certainly a blessed event and we were so glad to be a part of it.
